We all know that going to bed on a full stomach is a big NO. What we chose to eat before going to bed can drastically affect our sleeping patterns,This affects a lot of us including me. If you are looking for a peaceful night, here are 5 foods you should avoid right before bed.
1) VEGETABLES
Vegetables are nutrient filled diet food, so you may think that they're the perfect thing to eat right before bed if you want to stay healthy. In reality vegetables tend to have a large amount of fiber, which moves incredibly slowly through your digestive system. This will only keep you awake longer than you need to be.
2) CEREAL
The issues with having a bowl before bed, is that it contains so many carbohydrate and sugar that your body won't let you get some sleep. A bowl of cereal is a great way to get your body started off right right in the morning.
3) PASTA
Paste is one of the fattest food you need to avoid before going to bed. It may sound like an easy fix if you are hungry, especially since there are many pasta recipes that takes less than 30 minutes to prepare. The issue with eating pasta late at night is that, pasta is a very rich source of carbohydrate that will eventually turn into fat when you hit bed. so if you're trying to eat healthy at night you will definitely want to look elsewhere.
4) RED MEAT
Red meat at night will make it incredibly difficult to get the type of deep sleep that you really need after a hard day at work and it contains high calorie.
5) SNACKS AND CHIPS
One of the great things about snacks like chips is how convenient they are that you can grab a bag, munch away and be done before you know it. processed snack foods should be afforded at all times, not only before going to bed, given the fact that they contain high amount of monosodium glutamate that is known to be linked to a variety of sleep disorders.
